Ode to Danish Modern China Cabinets

I have been on the search for the perfect mid century dining hutch/china cabinet. My search has taken me through craigslist, ebay, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and the Austin area vintage antique stores. The challenge was to find a hutch with closed storage below and glass/open storage above. Not only did this piece have to look good, but it had to function well in my dining room. I needed the extra storage! It also had to have specific dimensions as it serves as a focal point in the room and it's depth had to allow space behind the dining chairs and table. (Around 42-48"w x 15-16"d x 68-72"h) I can say I would have never have guessed that I would have found the perfect piece at an antique store in Ft. Worth. The store is called the Benbrook Antique Mall. If you have a chance or are in the area, I would recommend it for unusual and unique finds at a good price. This cabinet was in pretty good shape except for a couple of areas where the veneer was peeling off. I did the repair myself using iron on teak edge banding with Danish colored stain- 30 min. tops! The piece cost an unbelievable $120!

I wasn't actually considering these, but I just wanted to share the types of things that are out there for Mid Century cabinets. Mine is obviously the best!
